Overview
Time-based discounts allow setting automatic percentage discounts that activate during defined time ranges on specific days of the week. This is useful for happy hours, weekday lunch specials, weekend promotions, and other time-sensitive offers. When a POS sale occurs during an active discount window, the discount is automatically applied.

Step-by-Step Guide
Adding a Time-Based Discount
- Go to Guides > Time-Based Discounts.
- Click Add.
- Enter the Name (e.g. "Happy Hour", "Weekday Lunch Deal").
- Set the Time range (e.g. 12:00–14:00).
- Enter the Discount percent (e.g. 15).
- Select the Days of week when the discount is active.
- Click Save.
Example
"Happy Hour" — 20% discount from 17:00 to 19:00, Monday through Friday:
- Name: Happy Hour
- Time range: 17:00 – 19:00
- Discount: 20%
- Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Time-based prices set a specific price for an item during a time window. Time-based discounts apply a percentage reduction to the overall order or applicable items during a time window.
Can multiple time-based discounts be active simultaneously?

Do time-based discounts work with loyalty discounts?
Discount interaction depends on the system configuration. In most setups, the highest applicable discount is used, not a combination of both.
