Overview
A checkpoint is a punch location: a terminal by the staff entrance, a tablet in the back room, a security desk. Every clock-in and clock-out is tied to a specific checkpoint, which is visible in Attendance History.
Without at least one checkpoint, time tracking does not work: there is nowhere to record punches, and the Attendance Sheet stays empty.

How to Use
- Click Create.
- Enter a name that is easy to recognise in reports: "Staff entrance", "Kitchen", "Warehouse".
- Optionally set a code.
- Click Save.
Deletion asks for confirmation.
Tips
- Multiple checkpoints make sense when it matters where an employee punched. Without that need, one is enough and keeps reports simpler.
- The name appears in the "Checkpoint" column of attendance history, so "Checkpoint 1" and "Checkpoint 2" will mean nothing to anyone six months later. Name them by location.
- Avoid deleting a checkpoint that already has punches: history records lose their location link.
