Overview
Multipliers allow defining conversion ratios between different units of measurement for the same item. For example, if an item is stored in kilograms but sold in portions, a multiplier defines how many kilograms are in one portion. This ensures accurate stock tracking when items move between different measurement contexts.

Step-by-Step Guide
Adding a Multiplier
- Go to Guides > Multipliers.
- Click Add.
- Select the Item.
- Select the target Unit of measurement.
- Enter the Multiplier value (e.g. if 1 pack = 12 pieces, enter 12).
- Click Save.
Example
Item "Water 0.5L" is stored in pieces but also sold in packs of 12:
- Item: Water 0.5L
- Unit: Pack
- Multiplier: 12
FAQ
When do I need multipliers?
When an item is tracked in one unit (e.g. kilograms) but sold or received in another (e.g. portions, packs, boxes). Multipliers ensure correct stock calculations.
Can one item have multiple multipliers?
Yes. You can define conversions to multiple units for the same item — e.g. both "Pack" (12 pcs) and "Box" (48 pcs).
How does the multiplier affect stock?
When a document uses a non-base unit, the system multiplies the quantity by the multiplier to calculate the base unit quantity for stock tracking.
