Stop List — Paloma POS 2
This article is about Paloma POS 2 — the new Paloma register app for a tablet, POS terminal, or Windows device. The Stop List is the screen where you pull a sold-out item from sale and put it back. Each item has one control with three states: «Available», «Stop», and «Limit». While an item is stopped, cashiers don't see it in the order menu. If you're not sure which product you have, start with «How to tell you have Paloma POS 2».
Overview
- Three states per row. The «Available» / «Stop» / «Limit» control sits to the right of each item. «Available» — on sale; «Stop» — pulled from sale (86'd); «Limit» — on sale but with a remaining count, shown by the inline «− N + pcs» stepper.
- Counters that filter. The chip strip «All», «Available», «Limit», «Stop» shows a count and doubles as a filter — tap «Stop» to see only what's pulled from sale.
- Always-on search. The «Search items» field under the counters narrows the list as you type.
- Two list views. The «List» and «Tiles» buttons in the top-right switch between rows and cards.
- Synced across registers. Every stop edit rides to the cloud and to the account's other registers — the Stop List and the order menu can never disagree.
Put an item on stop
- On the home menu, tap the «Stop List» tile.
- Find the item by scrolling the categories or typing into «Search items».
- In the item's row, tap «Stop». The name is struck through, the caption «86'd — invisible to operators» appears, and the «Stop» counter goes up.
- If the item isn't fully out but running low, tap «Limit» and set the remaining count with «− N + pcs». It stays on sale while the register counts down — you'll see «… left» — and once it hits zero it moves to stop automatically.
In the «Tiles» view, a pulled item is marked with a «STOP» band on its card.
Take an item off stop
- On the «Stop List» screen, tap the «Stop» filter chip — only pulled items remain.
- In the item's row, tap «Available» — it returns to the order menu at once.
- To bring everything back in one go, tap «Return all to sale» above the list. The register reports how many items were returned.
Each category header shows a mini-summary: «… of … stopped» when something is pulled, or «all on sale» when the whole category is available.
Counters, search, and view
- Filter by state. Tap «All», «Available», «Limit», or «Stop» to show only items in that state. The number on the chip is the item count.
- Search. Type a name into «Search items». Search works together with the filter — pick «Stop» first, then search within pulled items.
- List or tiles. «List» shows compact rows with the control; «Tiles» shows cards with photos.
- Collapse a category. Tap a category header to fold or unfold its items.
Syncing the stop list across registers
The Stop List works offline. When you stop or un-stop an item, the change applies on this register immediately and then rides to the cloud and to the account's other registers. No need to wait for internet — the register queues the change and sends it once a connection is back. The counter-filters and the order menu read from one source, so the Stop List and the sale screen always match.
Common problems
- "{failed} из {total} не удалось вернуть" — some items did not come back from the stop list; repeat for the rest.
- «No menu items loaded yet — sign in to bootstrap the catalog.» — the catalog is empty. Sign in with your PIN, let the register load the menu, then reopen the Stop List.
- «No items match "…".» — nothing matched the name under the active filter. Check spelling or switch the filter to «All».
- «Couldn't load catalog: …» — the catalog didn't open. Check the connection and sign in again; if it keeps failing, send support the exact text.
- Item still shows in the order menu after stopping — confirm the control landed on «Stop» (name struck through). If another register still shows it, let sync run — the change applies once a connection is back.
- «Return all to sale» won't tap — nothing is on stop, so there's nothing to return. The «Stop» counter reads 0.
- «… of … couldn't be returned» — some items couldn't be returned to sale (for example, a dropped connection). Try «Return all to sale» again later.
FAQ
How is «Stop» different from «Limit»?
«Stop» pulls the item from sale entirely — the cashier can't see it. «Limit» keeps it on sale with a remaining count: the register counts sales, shows «… left», and once the count hits zero the item moves to stop on its own.
Can the cashier see an item I put on stop?
No. A pulled item disappears from the order menu — in the Stop List it reads «86'd — invisible to operators».
Is the stop list shared across registers?
Yes. Changes sync across every register on the account. Stop an item on one register and it stops on the others once sync runs.
How do I return everything at once?
Tap «Return all to sale» above the list — all pulled items come back in one action, and the register reports how many were returned.
Does the stop list work without internet?
Yes. The change applies on the register at once and queues for sync — it reaches the cloud and other registers when a connection returns.
