The recommendations guide configures "also buy" suggestions — items recommended alongside other items.

Overview
Recommendations define item pairings for upselling at the POS. When a cashier adds an item to an order, the system can suggest related items based on configured recommendations. This increases average check size by prompting staff to offer complementary products.

Step-by-Step Guide
Adding a Recommendation
- Go to Guides > Recommendations.
- Click Add.
- Select the Source item (the item that triggers the suggestion).
- Select one or more Recommended items.
- Click Save.
Example
When a customer orders "Steak", recommend "Red Wine" and "Caesar Salad":
- Source item: Steak
- Recommended items: Red Wine, Caesar Salad
FAQ
Where do recommendations appear?
Recommendations appear in the POS interface when the source item is added to an order, prompting the cashier to offer the suggested items.
Can I set recommendations for multiple items?
Yes. Create separate recommendation entries for each source item.
Are recommendations bidirectional?
No. If "Steak" recommends "Red Wine", it does not automatically mean "Red Wine" recommends "Steak". You need to create separate entries for each direction if desired.
