Selling combos — Paloma365 Classic (Windows POS)

This article is about Paloma365 Classic, the POS program for Windows. A combo is a fixed set the guest assembles from item groups (burger + drink + side); it lands in the bill as a single line. Combos are created in the web office — see Combo sets; the POS only sells them. The Classic interface is in Russian; original UI names are shown in quotes.

How to sell a combo

1. Tap the combo in the menu — the composition window "Выбор комбо элементов для товара: …" (Select combo elements for item) opens.
2. On the left are the combo groups ("Группа" / Group, "Цена" / Price) with the selected group's rules below: required minimum, allowed maximum and how many are picked. The group's price is a surcharge — it is added to the price of every item picked from that group. Default items are pre-filled with the group's minimum quantity. If the outlet has a menu design assigned, item names in the combo window are shown as named in that menu.
3. Select a group and tap items in the "Товар" (Item) list to add them; for weighted items the POS asks for the amount ("Введите количество" / Enter amount). If the outlet setting "Ask quantity when selecting item" is enabled, the amount is asked for every composition item.
4. The composition grid shows name, price and quantity; "Итог:" (Total) is the combo total. "Удалить" (Delete) removes a picked item, "Примечание" (Note) adds a note to a composition item.
5. For several identical combos press "Общее количество комбо" (Total amount of a combo item) — the POS confirms "The total amount will be changed... Do you want to continue?" and asks for the count. After the count is entered the assembly finishes right away and the combo is added to the bill — no need to press "Принять" (Accept). The maximum is 99,999,999: a bigger number shows "The number is too big!" and the combo is added with quantity 1.
6. Press "Принять" (Accept). If a group is below its minimum, the POS lists the incomplete groups with a per-group counter — how many are picked out of the required minimum (e.g. "Drinks: 1 out of 2") — and does not add the combo. "Отмена" (Cancel) closes without adding.

Restrictions

In the window you cannot exceed a group's maximum (if a group allows one item, tapping another replaces it) or pick stop-listed items. In the bill a combo is one line, and you cannot:

• Change quantity — "Can not change the quantity of a combo meal!" Use the combo count button while assembling.
• Change price — "Cannot change price for combo product!"
• Add a note — "You can't put notes on a combo item!" (notes go on composition items inside the combo window).
• Add materials — "You are trying to add materials to a combo item..."
• Move or split it — "Can not move combo item..."; see Splitting and moving orders.

Common issues

• "Combo not configured" message — the combo has no composition groups; set it up in the web office or remove the combo flag.
• Minimum-quantity warning on the combo count button — fill every group to its minimum first.
• Fractional quantity for a non-weighted item — the POS rounds it down with a warning.

FAQ

Why doesn't the receipt show the combo contents?

This is a local setting of the specific register: in the POS local settings, on the receipts-and-reports tab, there is a checkbox "Не печатать комбо состав в чеках для клиента" (do not print combo contents in receipts for the customer). When it is on, the receipt shows only the combo line. It affects only the register where it is enabled — change it right on that POS; no back-office change is needed.

Only in the web office — see Combo sets. The POS only sells them.
