Keyboard shortcuts — Paloma365 Classic (Windows POS)

This article is about Paloma365 Classic, the POS program for Windows. Below are the default key bindings for all screens and how to remap them. The Classic interface is in Russian; original UI names are shown in quotes.

Shortcuts are bound per screen. General pattern: Enter — confirm/pay, Esc — exit/close. Bindings are stored per till and an administrator can change them, so your keys may differ from the tables.

Hard-wired keys (cannot be remapped)

Some keys on the sales screen always work and are not part of the binding system:

• F1 — opens the help file if it is installed next to the program.
• Up/Down arrows — move through the order lines.
• Left/Right arrows — move through the item list; they work only in list-menu mode.
• Shift (quick item pick) works only in list-menu mode — in the tile menu, Shift presses are ignored.
• Alt+F4 is intercepted: the sales screen with items in the order cannot simply be closed — the POS requires the same right (and password) as deleting order lines.

After a pre-check is printed, hotkeys are locked too: in the waiter, hall-manager and rate interfaces only the exit key works on a printed bill until the pre-check is cancelled.

How to remap keys

1. Open the POS settings ("Настройки Paloma365 — фронт офис") → the "Горячие клавиши" (Hotkeys) tab.
2. In the "Формы" (Forms) list, pick the screen — the grid shows its actions and keys.
3. Select the action row and press the new key.
4. Confirm the "Заменить клавишу…" (Replace key…) prompt.

Notes:

• If the key is already taken on that screen, the POS says it "is already in use for action …" — pick another key.
• Only function keys F1–F24 and service keys (Enter, Esc, Tab, Shift, Space, Home, End, PageUp, PageDown, Insert, Delete) can be assigned; letters and digits cannot.
• The "По умолчанию" (By default) button restores factory bindings for all screens.
• Bindings are per till — configure each workstation separately.
• The "Обновить структуру" (Update structure) button (POS settings, "Синхронизация" tab) wipes all hotkey bindings: the POS restores the factory set and custom mappings are lost. Keep this in mind before running a structure update.

FAQ

A key does not work or does something else

The tables show defaults; the administrator may have remapped keys on this till. Check the Hotkeys tab, or press "По умолчанию" to restore defaults.

Why can't I assign a letter or a digit?

Only function and service keys are accepted; letters and digits are reserved for input and search.

Hotkeys stopped working after the pre-check

That is by design: on a printed bill in the waiter, hall-manager and rate interfaces only the exit key works. Cancel the pre-check and the keys work again.

My custom keys reset to defaults

Most likely "Обновить структуру" (Update structure, "Синхронизация" tab in POS settings) was run on this till — it wipes the bindings and the POS restores the default set. Remap the keys you need.
