Kitchen screen — Paloma365 Classic (Windows POS)

This article is about Paloma365 Classic, the POS program for Windows. The kitchen (cook) screen shows the dishes of the current shift and lets the cook mark them as ready. The Classic interface is in Russian; original UI names are shown in quotes.

Overview

The screen is a table of dishes: "Счет" (order), "Стол" (table), "Блюдо" (dish), "Оф. (сот.)" (waiter), "Кол" (quantity), "Заказ поступил" (sent to kitchen at), "Прошло" (elapsed, ticking live) and "Норма" (standard cooking time from the item card, minutes). A row turns red when the elapsed time exceeds the standard. Column headers sort the list; "Обновить" (update) reloads it, and "Фильтр часов:" limits it to the last N hours (0 = current shift).

Status tabs depend on the "Использовать статусы приготовления" (use cooking statuses) option in POS settings:

• statuses on: "Новые заказы" (new) → "Готовятся" (cooking) → "Завершенные" (completed) → "Отданные" (served);
• statuses off: only "Новые заказы" and "Отданные" — readiness is marked in one step.

How to open the cook interface

The administrator assigns interfaces in the dashboard: add the cook interface to the employee and attach them to the workstation. On the POS main screen the employee enters their code — a single assigned interface opens right away; with several, the POS offers a choice. In sales mode the "Готовность блюд" (food readiness status) button opens the same screen, and the main-screen "Готовые блюда" (ready orders) button is a view-only readiness screen for waiters — there the fourth tab is called "Полученные" (received) instead of "Отданные", and the column set is different: "Блюдо" (dish), "Кол" (quantity), "Зак" (ordered), "Отк" (refused), "Прошло м." (elapsed, min) and "Норма м." (standard, min).

Working with orders

• A dish appears once the order is saved and the item is routed to a kitchen department (kitchen printer). See Sales and orders and Receipt printing.
• Mark readiness: double-tap the dish row. With statuses on, the POS asks to move the dish to the next stage; with statuses off, the dish goes straight to "Отданные".
• Whole order: select a dish and press "Приготовить все блюда в счете" (cook all dishes in the order) or, on the "Завершенные" tab, "Отдать все блюда в счете" (serve all).
• With auto-refresh on, new dishes switch the screen to the new-orders tab with a beep.
• The guest-facing readiness board is a separate web page with "НОВЫЕ" (new) and "ГОТОВЫЕ" (ready) columns, opened in a browser on a TV or monitor in the hall and connected to the POS over the local network. It is switched on by the same "Вывод статусов заказов на экран" (display order statuses on the screen) option that shows the cashier's readiness button. An order moves to "ГОТОВЫЕ" once all its dishes are completed on the kitchen screen; the board only displays orders — nothing can be marked on it. • Which bills appear on the board and the cook screen is controlled by the "Отображать заказы только из "Режима продаж"" (show orders from sales mode only) option in POS settings ("Повар и готовка блюд" section). It is meant for fast food, where orders are paid immediately: with it on, paid bills of the shift are shown, so the guest tracks their order number after paying; with it off, only unpaid bills are shown and a paid order disappears from the board.

Common problems

• A dish does not show up — the order must be saved and the item must have a kitchen department (printer) assigned; also check the hours filter and this workstation's selected departments.
• A row is red — elapsed time exceeded the item's standard cooking time.
• Password on exit — leaving the screen is protected by the outlet's "Закрытие" (close) password (dashboard → "Торговые точки" → "Пароли" tab, "Password: Close" field).

FAQ

"Завершенные" vs "Отданные"?

"Завершенные" — cooked but not yet handed over; "Отданные" — served, the kitchen is done.

Can I move a dish back a stage?

No — marks only move dishes forward.

Why only two tabs?

The cooking-statuses option is off, so readiness is marked in a single step.
