How to tell you have Paloma POS 2 — the new POS app
This article is about Paloma POS 2 — the new POS in the Paloma line. It is a touch app for a tablet, POS terminal, or Windows device. If you are not sure which product you have, this article helps you tell Paloma POS 2 apart from the older Paloma365 Classic Windows POS program and from the web dashboard.

Signs of Paloma POS 2
- It is an app, not a windowed program. The interface is touch-first: large tiles and buttons, everything done by tapping. The app icon is Paloma.
- PIN sign-in. An employee enters a PIN on an on-screen keypad. After signing in, a tile menu home screen opens (quick order, tables, reports, settings, and more).
- An order list with four tabs. Open the order list — the tabs across the top are All, Open, Printed, Closed. Classic has no such split.
- Payment with the "Pay check" button. An open order's card has a "Pay check" button showing the amount due.
- It works offline. The POS keeps selling without internet and syncs when the connection returns — a sync indicator is shown next to the interface.
Signs of the other products
- Paloma365 Classic is a POS program for Windows. Its login window is titled "Paloma365", and after signing in the title reads "Paloma365. Front-Office". See Which Paloma POS do you have.
- The web dashboard at
dashboard.paloma365.comopens in a browser. It is not a POS: it manages menu, warehouse, reports, and employees — no sales are rung up there.

FAQ
I was given a new POS on a tablet. Is it Paloma POS 2?
Most likely yes. If it is a touch app where an employee signs in with a PIN and the home screen is a tile menu, it is Paloma POS 2. Support can confirm by your account name.
How is Paloma POS 2 different from Classic?
Classic is a Windows program with windows and input fields. Paloma POS 2 is a touch app for a tablet or terminal with PIN sign-in. The features are similar, but the screens and steps differ, so it matters which product you have.
Can I use the POS and the dashboard at the same time?
Yes. The POS rings up sales, and the web dashboard manages menu, warehouse, and reports. Both use the same account and shared data.
