Overview
Shifts represent work periods for POS terminals. Each shift records who opened it, when it was opened and closed, and a summary of all sales transactions during that period. Shifts are essential for cash reconciliation and accountability.

FAQ
How do I check from the dashboard whether a shift is currently open?
Open Sales Points > Shifts. An open shift has an Open time but an empty Close time — that is what tells you it is still running; a closed shift shows both. Filter the list by the sales point or workplace to see only their shifts.
How do I open a new shift?
Shifts are opened directly from the POS terminal when an employee logs in and starts working.
What information is in the sales summary?
The summary includes total revenue, number of orders, payment method breakdown (cash, card, etc.), and any discounts applied.
Can I edit a closed shift?
Closed shifts are read-only for audit purposes. If corrections are needed, create adjustment documents instead.
