Overview

A warehouse request is created when one location needs goods from another warehouse. It does not move stock by itself — it serves as a formal request that can later be fulfilled with a movement document. This is useful for coordinating between branches, kitchens, and storage facilities.

FAQ

Does a request move stock automatically?

No. A warehouse request is an informational document. A separate movement document must be created to actually transfer the goods.

Who can see warehouse requests?

Requests are visible to users with access to the warehouse module. The source warehouse manager can review and fulfill them.

Can I create a movement from a request?

Yes. You can use the request as a basis for creating a movement document with the same items and quantities.
